LGBTQ community organised an LGBTQ Pride Parade in Bhopal, Madhya Pradesh today. Few youngsters who are in support of the LGBTQ community came together in the state capital and walked with pride. The youngsters also spoke for the right of the community and urged everyone to accept them in the society as they are no different.
Over 3,000 people are the part of this community in Bhopal, who have to hide their identity from the society as the society hardly accepts them.
A well-known LGBTQ activist, Harish Iyer said, "It's the courage of a few young people that we will be able to reach LGBTQ community people in Madhya Pradesh and help the community members open. There have been many queries coming in from central India seeking support from us. We cannot ask them relocate at metropolitan every time. We need to create the local support system for them, so that they can be loud and clear."
An event on Facebook was also created which was supported by a mass and everyone seemed to be excited about it. This pride parade will not only help in bringing awareness to the people but will also appreciate other people who belong to LGBTQ community to come forward and fight for their rights.
