Thalaiva aka Tamil Cinema superstar, Rajinikanth is no less than God for his followers and fans down South. Born as Shivaji Rao, he started his career as an actor through Tamil films in 1975. After essaying different roles in films and known to be an angry young man of South industry, Rajinikanth has gained the status of demigod in no time.

Well, it has been quite sometime now when we got hold of Rajinikanth being interactive and marking his presence publicly giving his fans a sneak peek into his life.

The 66-year-old veteran actor who has always been seen staying away from media and limelight is making headlines lately, as he met his fans after a huge gap of eight years in Chennai. Isn't it amazing?

Thalaiva has turned out enough participative since last one year and his public appearances say it all.

Although, the Kochadaiiyaan star dropped his plan of meeting his fans last month but he finally made it possible today i.e on May 15.

Yeah, the superstar Rajinikanth met his fans after eight years at the Raghavendra Wedding Hall in Chennai.

The actor, dressed in  black was looking evergreen as usual.

He addressed around 600 die-hard fans in front of the press and gave a speech too.

Along with him, the veteran filmmaker SP Mathuraman too was snapped at the event.

The man way more than just an actor has decided to have the meet-and-greet session with his fans in groups all through this week.

Fans from all over 17 districts would get a chance to meet their favorite star and have individual snaps clicked with him.

During his meeting session, he also denied the rumors of him joining the political party.

On further talking about politics, he mentioned,

"God will decide whether I will come to politics, but don't be disappointed. If I do come to politics, I will not allow people who want to just make money. That's for sure,".
