Are you one of those people who gets affected by the wrongs today's generation does, especially not caring about the plantation around? Or you belong to one of the activists of Go Green campaigns? Then, I've got an inspiration for you today.
Meet Bode Prasad, Member of Legislative Assembly (MLA) representing Telugu Desam Party (TDP) of Vijayawada who took it upon himself to do something the authorities have been denying for a long time. The translocation of trees is not possible, not what people think and in the process cut them down. Unlike others, Prasad did not follow the crowd and recently translocated four peepul trees to a place located near Tadigadapa Bridge. The trees were present at Vijayawada-Machilipatnam highway near Poranki, but before the authorities could have cut them, Bode decided to save them.
The Bandar Canal Bund, near Tadigadapa vicinity, now have the good old trees and were moved during night hours. The MLA did not want to create problems for the people driving on the highway and carried out the entire task with the help of cranes and trucks in the night time.
And, if all those efforts were any less, Bode Prasad did not ask for any government aid financially. He went on to spend Rs.1 Lakh personally making sure that the trees he used to see as a child don't die, as reported by the Deccan Chronicle.
