While his mother was busy unloading the bought items in the boot, the toddler couldn't keep his hands off the lock button. What happened next?

Kirsty Green, 27, was out to buy grocery goods on Friday. She took her son Brandon Emery along with her.
Brandon being a toddler was made to sit in the shopping trolley. As the trolley did not have straps and it would be difficult to manage Brandon without straps. So, his mother made him sit in the back seat of her car - Rover Streetwise.
"'He'd been in the little child seat of the shopping trolley but it didn't have any straps, so he kept trying to stand up while I was shopping."
She added, "I decided to put him in the back of the car while I was unloading the shopping goods, so he would not try to stand up in the trolley". After putting Brandon in the back seat, Kirsty started to unload the groceries.
After she shut the boot, she realised that she kept the car keys along with grocery items in the boot. Now, she had lost access to her car and it seemed Brandon wanted to have some fun.
Soon after, Brandon climbed upto driver's seat and locked himself inside the car.
No, the kid didn't lose his mother but the helpless woman outside the car felt lost as she couldn't think of anything to get her son out of the car.
Seeing her panic, bystanders tried to help and a lady who works at Lidl (the shopping mart) called 101.
Soon, the fire department arrived for rescue. Kirsty said, "It wasn't a particularly hot or sunny day so once I knew the rescue crews were on the way I knew my son would be fine."
The team which came for rescue was using small tools in order to get the toddler out of the car, but Brandon wasn't too happy with it. He made the situation worse.
While the attempts were made to get the 14 month-old out, he found a 2 pence coin and the situation got worse. He put it in his mouth and the mother panicked along with rescuers.
The fire department personnel had to break the car's rear glass. Thankfully, they broke it before Brandon swallowed the coin. One of the rescuers got into the car to pull the toddler out.
Unaware of the threat and the trouble he had caused, he was sitting in the driver's seat holding the steering.
After all was done, Kirsty said the fire department did an amazing job and thanked all those who helped rescue her son Brandon.
