Donald Trump is not a new name when it comes to controversies. He has been in the limelight long before he stepped into politics and became the President of the United States. During the initial days of his campaign, Trump started the fire by memorably stating, "When Mexico sends its people, they're not sending their best. They're not sending you. They're sending people that have lots of problems, and they're bringing those problems with us. They're bringing drugs. They're bringing crime. They're rapists. And some, I assume, are good people."
Donald Trump was not happy after the Primaries debate broadcasted by Fox News. He had his issues with the host Megyn Kelly and her hard-hitting questions, Trump angrily said, "She gets out, and she starts asking me all kinds of ridiculous questions. And, you know, you could see there was blood coming out of her eyes, blood coming out of her wherever." Trump later said he was referring to the ears and eyes and not any other part which media is blowing out of proportion.
In 2012, Donald Trump was willing to prove that Barack Obama is a fraud and was not born in the United Sates. He claimed that he had sent investigators to Hawai to find out the "real truth" and expose the lies of Obama. He said that an "extremely credible source" has found out that Obama's birth certificate is a fraud and he received a call in his office regarding this.
Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart broke off their relationship a few years back, and this forced Mr. Trump to share his word of advice with the Twilight celebrity. He said, "Robert Pattinson should not take back Kristen Stewart. She cheated on him like a dog & will do it again – just watch. He can do much better!"
He did not stop at this point and stretched his word of advice to another level by tweeting, "Robert I'm getting a lot of heat for saying you should dump Kristen- but I'm right. If you saw the Miss Universe girls, you would reconsider."
"I will build a great wall – and nobody builds walls better than me, believe me – and I'll build them very inexpensively. I will build a great, great wall on our southern border, and I will make Mexico pay for that wall. Mark my words," said Donald Trump during the initial phase of the election campaign in 2015. He received heavy criticism and lot of heat for this statement.
David Duke, Grand Wizard of Ku Klux Klan came up in support of Donald Trump in February last year. He claimed that Trump deserves a chance and a close look if people want to end the era of political correctness. On being asked about whether he will disavow the support, Trump told CNN's Jake Tapper that he don't know anything about David Duke.
Later Trump realised his mistake and blamed it all on the faulty earpiece and said, "I don't mind disavowing anyone. I disavowed Duke the day before at a major conference."
At eh peak of his campaign, when the political pundits were starting to take Trump seriously after his performance in the initial primaries, he said, "You know what else they say about my people? The polls, they say I have the most loyal people. Did you ever see that? Where I could stand in the middle of Fifth Avenue and shoot somebody, and I wouldn't lose any voters, okay? It's like incredible."
Donald Trump claimed that all the women on his famous reality show "The Apprentice" flirted with him at one point or another. It might have been consciously or unconsciously according to Trump. He even claimed that this is something that everyone would expect as it's not really easy to overlook the personality of Mr. Trump.
Donald Trump said, "It's freezing and snowing in New York – we need global warming!" He had no intentions of giving up to the "false claims" being made by people who deal with science and are trying to warn us about the serious effects of global warming on our planet.
Donald Trump was not happy when a protester tried to disturb him during his Las Vegas rally. Trump called the security and had him escorted out of the rally. Later Trump spoke to the crowd and said, "I'd like to punch him in the face."
Former GOP presidential candidate Mitt Romney expressed his concerns about Donald Trump's candidature. He openly opposed him and denied to endorse him even though when Trump endorsed Romney in 2012.
