In modern times, it is not uncommon to hear of people who have never had the chance to meet their grandparents. Thanks to diseases such as cancer, many people die before reaching retirement age. I for one only got to meet two of my grandparents; even having to lose one of those when I was at the tender age of 13. Gone are the days where large families formed part of everyday existence.
However, some extraordinary families that contain up to six generations of people that are alive at the same time do indeed exist in this day in age, albeit a rare occurrence!
