It was a routine day for a news reader, Supreet Kaur at Chhattisgarh's private IBC-24 channel. Everything was going in an organised manner until a breaking news came her way. The TV anchor displayed a starry allegiance towards her job when she read out the breaking news of her husband's death on Live TV, according to NDTV.
She got a hint from learning about the SUV - a Renault Duster, and through the accident spot - Pithora in Chhattisgarh's Mahasamund district.
She called up the reporter, who allegedly authenticated that her husband Harsad Kawade was one of the three casualties.
The affirmation of which broke her down after which she started calling her relatives, a colleague of Supreet said.
One of her senior editorial staff members said that Supreet had no prior information of the shocking news instead she came to know about the accident only while reading out the breaking news during the bulletin.
"It would be a terribly difficult situation for anyone. But Supreet controlled her anxiety, remained fully composed and showed exemplary commitment to her job. We are proud of her," said her colleague.
