Health officials have come up with a survey that nearly 45 percent of the US population is infected with genital HPV, a sexually transmitted disease that can cause cervical cancer and genital warts.

Nearly half of the population of United States Of America is infected with genital HPV.

The age group is between 18 to 59. A recent report was released that signified how common HPV is among adults.

Usually, in most cases, HPV goes away on its own. The CDCP (Centers for Disease Control and Prevention) have said that most sexually active people get HPV.

More distressing is the fact that 25 percent of men and 20 percent of women carry strains that have a high risk of cancer.
