Reserve Bank of India will introduce currency notes of Rs 200-denomination soon, according to Economic Times.
The RBI's proposed move comes at a time when economists from across the world have predicted that government's demonitisation move may not bring the desired result for Indian economy.

"The process of printing the new currency notes of Rs 200 denominations is likely to begin after June, once the government officially approves this new denomination."
...as it is believed that plastic notes last longer than cotton substrate based notes.
