Bollywood actress Kangana Ranaut, 30, spoke about her acid-victim sister Rangoli and revealed what it took for both of them to overcome the dark phase of their lives.
Kangana talked about her sister on her birthday which fell on March 23.
On sharing experience, Rangoli said, "The physical pain was excruciating and at 23 the mental trauma was painful. I have lost one ear. I have lost 90% vision in one of my eyes. I have a dysfunctional breast. Acid attack is not a regular accident".
Kangana wants to have a film made on Rangoli's life so as to portray how bravely she fought and overcame misfortune in her life.
She said girls are taught to remain silent on the matters like harassment, acid attacks, domestic violence but the solution to any matter is not SILENCE. Kangana always wanted her sister Rangoli to speak about her incident so that she can be a role model for others.
Kangana said, "Rangoli's life is far more interesting than my life, thanks to her husband who has been madly in love with her since day one. I don't have a lover like that, so I think my life is not as exciting as Rangoli's".
Kangana, on talking about her struggle days, said, "It was no fairytale. I was nothing like I am today. I couldn't speak a word of English. In England, people might be understanding of that, but in Mumbai, if you don't speak English, people would ask - How does she expect to work in Hindi films?"
"It would be stupid for anyone to make the move to West now. Their theater business is crashing because of the influx of digital media. Asia, on the other hand, is where Hollywood was 15 years ago. It is a lucrative time for entertainment here. These are baits that I won't fall prey to."
At present, she is busy shooting for her upcoming film 'Simran'.
We wish Kangana and Rangoli all the best in futu
