Former Indian cricket captain Mahendra Singh Dhoni, the man who changed Indian cricket, is not a mere cricketer but a brand with countless fans.
Innumerable incidents have occurred in past where crazy fans crossed all limits to meet him.
In a recent occurrence, a Dhoni fan overstepped limit.
Have a look.
He travelled all the way from Delhi to Chennai to watch Dhoni bat. Carrying a paper in his hand, he ran towards Dhoni to take his autograph. Handing over a letter to Dhoni, he said, "Dhoni Bhaiyya, I have come travelling 3,000 kilometres." Then, he touched Dhoni's feet.
After being released, he said, "I took his blessings, and not a mere autograph, as the policemen grabbed me. My motive was served, as I desperately wanted to share my feelings with Dhoni bhaiyya.''
This incident took place on March 15, 2017.
A female fan blocked Dhoni's way in Ranchi. The fan apparently noticed Dhoni while she was travelling on the same flight and started following him from airport. She wanted his autograph but his security guards didn't let her to do that.
She stood in front of Dhoni's car but her handbag fell and got crushed under the Hummer. The cricketer stretched his neck out to ensure everything was fine which allowed the young woman to share the camera screen.
The relation between Ram Babu and Dhoni is a two-way bond. Even the cricketer loves his fan. Ram Babu manages to get passes from Dhoni of his matches and reaches every venue by train. He has also travelled to Bangladesh and Sri Lanka to cheer his favourite cricketer.
He said, "For me, Dhoni is equal to Almighty and that's why I chose to ink his name on my right hand a few months ago."
The girls were following the cricketer on his way to the airport. After having failed to meet their icon, one of the girls drove all the way to the departure gate on her Scooty. As Dhoni got out of his car, the fan called out his name from a distance.
Dhoni's security guards got alerted but Captain Cool asked them to allow the girl. The next thing was obvious -- a selfie.
