The Obama17 appeal is now circulating with the purpose of collecting 1 million signs to convert the former U.S. President to race for office in France. About 500 banners of Obama's face have been plastered across Paris, forcing individuals to visit the petition website.

The proverb reads: 'Oui on peut', that is French for 'Yes we can.'

The website states "the former president of the US has the best experience in the world for the job. We wish to strike a blow by electing a different president at the head of our beautiful country, Barack Obama has completed his second term as the President of America, and why not hire him as president of France?"

It should be noted that Obama would have to study French and become a civilian before he could even be in the race to be France's president.

A president, first of all, needs to have certain qualities which are the must. Like, he must be able to communicate with citizens of France in their language, and above all, he could not lead France without first becoming a citizen.
