In the Japanese district of Hyogo, there is a village like nothing else in the world. In this village, there are no real people live not real people, but human-like inhabitants.
This is the scarecrow village of Okuharima, a village that attracts tourists with its stuffed scarecrows that are dressed as ordinary citizens. These scarecrows are seen in a variety of places in a variety of poses such as farming, cycling, etc. This village was created by a 61-year-old resident, with the help of some other local residents. Their aim was to create a tourist attractions in order to promote their hometown. It was the mass migration of youngsters to the cities that had prompted these people to pursue the idea, as the trend of immigration had left a majority of the village's population above the age of 65.
