Parenting isn't an easy task. To be able to strike the right balance between being too strict and too lenient isn't as easy as one might imagine. On the one hand, some parents are too lenient with their children, and they end up not disciplining their children at all. And on the contrary, some parents are seen to be too strict on their kids, ultimately crossing a line to become horrific people.
Brenda and Marc Marshall fall into the latter category. Punishments are required at times to teach children lessons, but there's a way to do it. Torturing children in the name of disciplining is truly inhuman, and if we think about it, it's better for parents to be too lenient than be horrifyingly strict. And after reading this story, you'll agree with us on this as well. Check it out!
To be a good parent, you need to be the right combination of lenient and strict with the children.
Bad parenting could mean cutting the children too much slack and not disciplining them at all, or, it could mean going too tough on the children and torturing them in the name of teaching them a lesson.
And as sad as it is, it is also true. And the story of Brenda and Marc, and what they did to their daughter, is a horrifying one.
Marc got back home from work to hear from his wife that their daughter had urinated and defecated on the floor. As punishment, this couple forced the little girl to sleep outside without any clothes.
But Marc isn't any better either. He didn't even try to check up on his daughter. She was left alone to sleep on a concrete section in the backyard without any clothes or shelter.
She was already about a mile away from her home when a passerby noticed her and came to her aid. About an hour later, the police arrived at the Marshalls' home to learn that the couple had absolutely no idea where their daughter was.
Although the reason as to why the girl urinated and defecated on the floor is unknown, it still doesn't really matter as the punishment was way too much. The couple crossed a line and are now facing aggravated child abuse charges.
