If everyone is satiated with the love they desire, there would be no evil or crime, and love is exactly what this couple portrays. This happy Colombian couple is an epitome of the ones who are satisfied with what they have and only need each other to stay happy.
You will be surprised to know that Maria Garcia and her husband Miguel Restrepo have been living in this sewer for the last 22 years and are happy about it.
Read on to discover the reason behind their unusual choice of living.
The couple met on the streets of Medellin, Colombia.
They were drug addicts at that time, but they wanted to give it up. So, they decided to stay in the sewer because staying on the streets made them even bigger drug addicts. Together they decided to quit drugs.
Maria and Miguel made this sewer their home, when there were no friends or family helping them.
The love they had for each other made them successful in giving up drugs.
They have made the sewer their home, equipping it with all the necessities.
The sewer home has electricity, lights, and also a little kitchen.
They have a pet dog named Blackie.
Blackie is their companion and also the guardian of their home.
No need to feel bad for them, because they are happy, content, and more importantly, satisfied!
Just like all of us, they decorate their home during festivals.
All they need is EACH OTHER!
Together forever.
They have no intention of leaving this place and are satisfied with what they have.
