Fiction draws imagination which drives innovation and to support my words, I have got an apt example of the most talked about outer space series, the Star Wars and the Star Trek. Well, I am not an expert at any of these series but I am an enthusiast and comparing these series would really be interesting. When it comes to who is better than whom, there are a number of comparisons that can be carried out. We can see a lot of similarities as they belong to the same genre, but still, there are some points that help in beating the other.

Let's figure them out!

1. C-3PO Vs. Data

1. C-3PO Vs. Data

Well, both of these are pretty much similar when we talk about their skin color. C-3PO, a yellow metal robot was made by junk metal pieces by a crazy kid in the Star Wars, whereas Data in the Star Trek series was made by a mad scientist. Both bots are humorous and funny, but data is more efficient, intelligent and plays an integral part in the Enterprise crew of the Trek.

2. The attack weapons

Where the Star Wars have a fair and square explanation of the beam that is thrown from the ships, the Star Trek series had no analogy to describe theirs. Star Destroyer is reported as being able to generate power equal to 1 percent of the sun's energy output.

3. Medicine and cure of ailments

3. Medicine and cure of ailments

Where you can get your limbs or any other part of the body replaced in the Star Wars series, in Star Trek you can get everything diagnosed perfectly with the Tricorder. Hence Star Trek leads in medical technology.

4. Speed and Commute

4. Speed and Commute

Star Trek's commute is no doubt faster and rapid than Star Wars as the Star Trek ships travel 21,000 times faster than the speed of light, whereas the maximum speed that is obtained by the Star Wars ship is 16,000 times the speed of light. But still, it doesn't lead the race as the average speed is useful at times. Hence, you can call it a tie.

5. Weapons

5. Weapons

In SW, the weapons are mostly manually operated, hence promoting a chance of a missing shot. Whereas in ST, the weapons, phasers, and machines are purely guided by computers which make them efficient and effective. Also, when it comes to power, the Star Wars weapon are restricted to wiping off a city in a small missile shot whereas, in Star Trek a single shot is enough to blow one face of the planet. Bwah!

6. Sensors, Shields, Replicators, and Transporters

6. Sensors, Shields, Replicators, and Transporters

Again, leading the race, Star Trek has far better sensors than Star Wars. ST sensors had the power to sense enemy ship from a distance of a million miles whereas SW sensors were fine by only a few kilometers. Also, ST sensors could even identify the DNA of their enemy from such a distance.

Now talking about shields, ST lead their way in this category also as large ships in the Star Wars universe don't have anything comparable. A shield created by the ST would be the hardest penetration for the SW.

There are replicators in the enterprise each and everywhere. I mean they can replicate each and everything, anywhere so that means no poverty and hunger as food is also a commodity which can be replicated in the ST series, whereas Star Wars has no such thing. Poor!

Not wanting to sound harsh, but still, Star trek leads the Transporter category also. All that a Star Trek character has to do is project a beam of laser and they can be anywhere. Keep thinking Star Wars, keep thinking.

And lastly, the Force

And lastly, the Force

The forces of both the epic series are great in their own space. Star Wars has got a great line of characters and they are somehow connected and related. That doesn't mean Star Trek lacks behind. But a fair and square point can be given to Star Wars straight away for its force.

But as a final result, Star trek is far more better when it comes to gadgets
