Carrie Fisher, 60, the face of Princess Leia in the Star Wars films suffered a cardiac arrest just minutes before the end of her flight from London to LA. Her brother Todd confirmed that she was in intensive care unit (ICU) in Los Angeles. He also said, "If everyone could just pray for her that would be good. The doctors are doing their thing, and we don't want to bug them. We are waiting by patiently."
According to the TMZ website, passengers attempted to revive her with CPR, and she was taken to the hospital when the plane landed after midday local time (20:00 GMT).
Fisher is famous for her roles in films like When Harry Met Sally and The Star Wars films. She has also written a lot of books including, Wishful Drinking and The Princess Diarist.
Since the news came out, a lot of celebrities have been posting messages of support on twitter.
Peter Mayhew, who plays Chewbacca in the Star Wars films said, "Thoughts and prayers for our friend and everyone's favorite princess right now.."

UPDATE: According to Carrie Fisher's brother, Todd Fisher told Associated Press, she is 'out of emergency' and stabilised at the UCLA Medical Center.
