Ranbir Raj Kapoor, or better known as Raj Kapoor, was a noted producer, director, and actor. The 'greatest showman' of Indian cinema, as many call him, Raj Kapoor was a representative of the reputed Kapoor family, often known as the first family of Indian cinema. Its flag bearers Ranbir Kapoor and Kareena Kapoor, Raj's grandchildren, are taking forward the legacy of the great family. Interestingly, Ranbir has been named after Raj, as both share the same name. Winner of many national and international honors, Raj Kapoor took Indian cinema to greater heights during his lifetime. The 'Charlie Chaplin' or 'Clark Gable' of Indian cinema, Raj's impact on the Indian film industry has been deep and can be felt even today.
