Dealing with your grief is the toughest task. But life goes on, no matter how much you have faced. Time heals every pain.
CrackerCortex, who in order to deal with the sorrow of losing his beloved dog created something that will amaze you. To reduce his grief, and pain, he thought to build a Koi Pond, But his friend suggested him to built a pool instead of a pond after seeing the giant hole. And as we making a pool, he made an interesting DIY, which we all can try.
He gave a statement on reddit that " I didn't grow up with a pool but remembered how much I loved them as a kid. Figured it be the best present ever for my new son.".
Let's follow how he made a pond, it's a great DIY.
This is the backyard of his house where he actually started the DIY project as Koi Pond. He turned it down to make a pool on suggestion of his friend.
Plan on Paper which includes waterfall, a big pool, kids' pool & a small cave
He kept on digging the hole until it became bigger
He then fixed or reinforced the giant hole with plastic sack full of soil.
Started Plumbing for main drain & Skimmer
Made Concrete Pad Pour & installed Pool Pump.
Dragging the dirt out of the hole
Done with Leveling. Started working on Water Discharge Tank .
He made water discharge tank, 2 pools (Big & Small ) & a Cave.
Bazzinga! It was done
Started Working on Cave, by setting the pool foundation with Rebar.
Final Phases in Rebar.
He started spraying the pool with Shotcrete, mixture of cement & sand at high velocity.

Shotcrete takes a full week to dry.
This is how it looked after the shotcrete dried up.
He made rock with latex & colored mixture concrete with browns, yellows, gray's and black concrete stain powder to get desired color.
Kid who is in love with his dad's creation.
He raised a fire pit to give a finishing touch to his creation & invited good friends to join him
