Here's how his yard looked when he started building a pond..

Let's follow how he made a pond, it's a great DIY.

This is the backyard of his house where he actually started the DIY project as Koi Pond. He turned it down to make a pool on suggestion of his friend.

Plan on Paper which includes waterfall, a big pool, kids' pool & a small cave

He kept on digging the hole until it became bigger

He then fixed or reinforced the giant hole with plastic sack full of soil.

He did markings & some leveling for rough estimation about making pool.

Started Plumbing for main drain & Skimmer

Made Concrete Pad Pour & installed Pool Pump.

Dragging the dirt out of the hole

Done with Leveling. Started working on Water Discharge Tank .

He made water discharge tank, 2 pools (Big & Small ) & a Cave.

Bazzinga! It was done

Started Working on Cave, by setting the pool foundation with Rebar.

Final Phases in Rebar.

He started spraying the pool with Shotcrete, mixture of cement & sand at high velocity.

You can see the Hard work.

Shotcrete takes a full week to dry.

This is how it looked after the shotcrete dried up.

He made rock with latex & colored mixture concrete with browns, yellows, gray's and black concrete stain powder to get desired color.

Kid who is in love with his dad's creation.

He raised a fire pit to give a finishing touch to his creation & invited good friends to join him

The Magnificent cave, finally.

Loved this? Spread it out then
