Black Friday is around the corner, and millions of Americans will once again flood malls and stalls to get that iPad or Samsung TV at a discounted price. If you've ever read any news about Black Friday in the previous years, you'd know that things don't always look bright. There are a lot of pushing, shoving, and shouting among customers in the stores.
In fact, let's take a look at some of the most infamous and horrible Black Friday incidents.
A woman from Los Angeles was at a Wal-Mart in 2011 as she waited for her favorite items to be released. Once the goods were shown, she used pepper spray on other customers so that she could be the first to get them.
A shopping center decided to hand out gift certificates in California during Black Friday. However, this led to 10 people becoming injured. One of them even had to be sent to the hospital.
In Madison, Wisconsin, a young woman wanted to buy some toys. The problem was that the 21-year-old lady didn't want to fall in line. Instead, she cut in line. This angered other people, and she responded by revealing her gun. Thankfully, she was arrested.
A woman noticed a suspicious man. She notified the police, and the authorities realized that the man was carrying a handgun, two knives, and a magazine containing 30 rounds.
Three people were about to leave a store in California after shopping during Black Friday, but robbers demanded they leave their items to them. In the end, one of the three guys was shot. Thankfully, two of the robbers were arrested.
It seems that Wal-Mart has the most number of incidents on this list. This time, a Black Friday promo led to customers fighting over GPS devices. Some of the products were even thrown around, forcing an employee to tell everyone else to stay away.
During the Black Friday sale at a Brands Mart, an innocent 73-year-old woman became the victim of a stampede. Her daughter was unable to save her.
At another Walmart, this time located in Tallahassee, people had a fight over parking spots. Sadly, two people were shot and had to be immediately sent to a hospital.
During the 2008 Black Friday sale, a Walmart employee died due to a massive stampede in Valley Stream, New York. Since then, Wal-Mart has done their best to prevent such fatal incidents.
Two ladies started hitting each other over toys at Toys R Us, and this caught the attention of two men who went to the store with them. These two men shot each other and died. People were absolutely traumatized.
At a Walmart in Phoenix, Arizona, someone claimed that a grandfather was trying to shoplift. He was beaten and eventually arrested. Still, his wife said that he was just helping his grandson carry the goods.
During a stampede, a woman fell down and had a miscarriage. This happened because of all the people pushing and shoving her. Even the doctors couldn't do their job properly due to all the chaos.
