Mahabharata has inspired countless movie plots. Politics, mourning, love, and climax- Mahabharata was not only one of the most important Hindu Epics, but so much more.
People all over the world appreciate the characters and their vivid descriptions and praise the Mahabharata as a book of knowledge, might, and truth. Magical voice, mesmerising modulation and out of the world acting skills. Need I say more? Amitabh Bachchan, hands down is the only Bheeshma I can see in Bollywood.
The character is torn between his son and the duties that he is entitled to being a king. This dilemma of a Father and a righteous king can be wonderfully played by none other than the very versatile actor Om Puri himself.
The devoted wife and a loving mother. Gandhari as a character sees variations and emotional graphs like none other. Needless to say though, Rakhi is a wonderful actress. She will make the perfect Gandhari.
Kunti as a character is very powerful. Single mother who always taught her sons to love and give. Sharmila Tagore will be apt for the role.
The Righteous and the eldest brother - Yudhisthir. Shahrukh Khan has always been loved for his goodie roles. His role from Kabhi Khushi Kabhi Gam, where he plays the elder brother, is our inspiration for this role.
The fighter, perfect student and perhaps the chocolate boy of Mahabharata(forgive me God :P). Who else than Ranbir Kapoor can justify the role? Oh my! He is a sight for sore eyes <3.
Bhima- who would act first and think later. The brother with most muscular power. With a dreamy body like that, John Abraham will make the best ever Bhima. What say?
Nakul and Sehdev are youngest arguably the most loved brothers. They are faithful and loyal to their elder brothers. Very handsome and promising actor, Pulkit Samrat and very cute Himansh Kohli, are recommended for these amazing characters.
He is just perfect for this role.
Guru, the man who teaches them all. A powerful, brave and strong character that demands demeanour of an actor like Naseeruddin Shah.
Duryodhan simply is the bad guy. The eldest son of Dristrashtra(out of 100 sons), he wants to claim the throne after his father, which should rightfully belong to Yudhishtir(Shahrukh Khan). It will be different to see Salman Khan playing a negative role. In addition to that, Shahrukh and Salman in a battle duo will not be new- but still appeal the eye. P.S: We love you both <3
Karna was the son of the Sun God. Kunti gave birth to him, when she was not married and gave him away. Karna was crowned as king by Duryodhan(Salman Khan). Karna was torn emotionally between his best friend Duryodhana and his Pandava brothers, in the whole battle of Mahabharata. This character demands skills of a fine actor like Hrithik Roshan
Shakuni Mama, the mastermind behind the battle. His character demands acting skills of an experienced actor. With his roles in D-Day and countless other movies, Rishi Kapoor can pull this off with elegance.
The plea of a wife who was asked by Kunti to be divided equally amongst brothers. Arjun married Draupadi after completing the almost impossible task of hitting the fish in the eye, by just looking at the reflection. Arjun played by Ranbir Kapoor will sure create a chemistry my eyes long for, if Deepika Padukone is Draupadi.
God, he who knows it all. Krishna is Arjun's best friend, who guides him through the battle and chants Bhagwad Geeta quotes on the battle grounds. Who is better than this role other than Mr. Perfectionist himself?
The man who built himself. All Eklavya ever wanted was to be Drona's student, but he refuses. This did not deter him from learning. The irony remained, even after being the best student of Drona, he never gets what he deserves. So, we think for such a powerful role a promising actor like Sushant Singh Rajput will be the best.
Subhadra- Arjun's love interest and Lord Krishna's sister. The striking, sparkling and *deep breath* chemistry is what I am looking forward with Ranbir, Deepika and Katrina in the same frame.
Draupadi's brother and most importantly the man who killed Dronacharya. Sonu Sood is our inspiration for this character.
The one who falls madly in love with Bhima and marries him. We vote Sonakshi Sinha for this. Her pair up with Joh Abraham (Bhima) will look wonderful.
And we vote the one and only Lata Mangeshkar ji for her voice. The title track in her voice will smooth everything over and add grace and elegance to everything it would touch. We love you Lata Ji.
