Bollywood actors in Hollywood flicks, only the idea of watching our favorite actor/actresses on International platform creates buzz. Recently, the singing sensation and American Tv drama Quantico's lead actress Priyanka Chopra constantly remained in the news for her growing fame on International platform. And her visits to many TV shows and International awards have proved her as a true rockstar.

Priyanka Chopra along with her bestie and rival Deepika Padukone, have been constantly in news regarding their recent International projects and movies. Meanwhile, many of us did not notice that before Piggy Chops, there are many actresses from Bollywood who have already made it to Hollywood to stun the International audience.

Aishwarya Rai Bachchan is always been considered as one of the most beautiful women alive on earth. Aishwarya has proved her acting skills both in Bollywood and Hollywood. She got her first break in Hollywood with her first International project 'Bride and Prejudice', which was released in the year 2004. She was rather appreciated for her charming face in the movie, and not for her acting.

Her second Hollywood movie 'The Last Legion' was released in 2007, where she again cast for her beauty and her co-stars were Ben Kingsley and Colin Firth. Her last movie Pink Panther was released in 2009, where she performed the character of an Indian researcher and criminologist.

Mallika Sherawat has always managed to be in the limelight for her bold statements and sexy image. She made her Hollywood debut with Jackie Chan's movie 'The Myth' in 2005. Her second international project was 'Hiss', which was released in 2010. Hiss was written and directed by an American director but was released in Hindi and many other languages. Her another International project was 'Politics of Love', which was released in 2011.

Known as a versatile actor, she has tried her luck with few of Hollywood movies. In both of her Hollywood movies, she got to perform strong Indian characters and she has depicted those characters really well.
First, she got a chance to show her acting skills in the movie 'The Namesake', which was released in 2007, where she portrayed a Bengali wife of Irfan Khan and how they struggled as immigrants in U.S. Her second International project was 'Life of Pie', where she played the role of Gita Patel, Pie's mother and this movie did really well on International platform and managed to grab many awards too. 
In both of her Hollywood projects, she had performed very mature roles and never disappointed the audience with her impeccable acting skills.

Veteran actress Shabana Azmi, not many of us know about it, ventured into Hollywood decades ago. In 1988, she made her debut with the movie 'Madame  Sousatzka', which was directed by John Schlesinger where she played the lead role of an immigrant.
She was also a part of Ronald Joffe's 'City of Joy' which was released in 1992. She has always managed to woo the audience with her strong persona and unbeatable acting skills. 

5. Freida Pinto

Freida started her career with an International movie 'Slumdog Millionaire' in 2008. In Slumdog Millionaire, she was globally appreciated for her acting skills and impeccable performance along with her co-actors Dev Patel and Anil Kapoor.
After Slumdog Millionaire's grand success, this Indian beauty had become one of the highest-paid actresses, despite the fact she never ever appeared in any Bollywood movie. Since then she has been working in Hollywood movies only and performed in many movies like 'Immortals', 'Rise of the planet of the Apes' etc.

Apart from many Bollywood movies, Lillete got her first break in Hollywood with 'Monsoon Wedding', which was released in 2001.
Later, she managed to grab the role of Mrs. Kapoor in 'The Best Exotic Marigold Hotel' in 2012 and later in the sequel of the same movie which was released in 2015. She was also a part of 'Dr. Cabbie' which was released in 2014.

Model turned Actress Tina Desai made her debut in Bollywood with the movie 'Faasley' in 2011. She never had a great career in Bollywood and later she was offered a role in a British movie called 'The Best Exotic Marigold Hotel' and she happily grabbed that golden opportunity to try her luck again.

In this movie, she portrayed the character of Sunaina, which was released in 2012. Later, she got to work in the sequel of the same movie which was released in 2015, where she played the role of Kala Dandekar, a well educated University pharmacist.

8. Persis Khambatta

Not many people know this fact but Persis was one of the earliest actresses who got a chance to work in Hollywood. She made her debut in Hollywood with the movie 'Star Trek: The Motion Picture', which was released in 1979 and made her so popular with her bald character Lieutenant Ilia and brought her a lot of fame after this movie. Her popularity made her a successful Hollywood actress and prior to her work in International movies, she did not have a much successful career in Hindi cinema. 

"If there is a will, there is a way". This proverb suits a lot to all these leading ladies of B-town, who might have once dreamt of being a part of International film fraternity and somehow they managed to grab these coveted opportunities from the film-makers around the world, of course with their hard work and determination.
