''England is 'bland' and that the appointment of Southgate fits, but is uninspiring.''

"Gareth is as good a candidate as there is," Harry Redknapp said.
"He's taken the under 21s, and they've done ok. I think Southgate fits. There's not a lot around," he continued.
He is unconvinced that he will see England play a new exciting brand of football under Southgate, and is unsure who would be the right man for the job.
Despite his wish for an Englishman to guide the side, he believes that the current Liverpool boss could be the perfect man for the FA to bring in.
"What he's done? Why should he be a manager of England? Would the Germans have an English manager? Not a chance," he continued.
"Maybe Jurgen Klopp would be okay. I do like Klopp's personality. It looks like the Liverpool players want to play with him."
According to Redknapp, 'it should be English.'
Unfortunately for England, it is very unlikely they would ever tempt Klopp away from his current job at Liverpool.
