Facebook! We use it almost every day, doing pretty same things over and over again. Updating statuses, downloading and uploading pictures, stalking that colleges' handsome hunk (or that sexy lady. Wink. Wink.) and the occasional messaging, group chatting, etc.
But, Facebook is no longer just that friendly little blue website you just post drunken photos to. Squillions of advancement hours have been put into this thing, filling it with all manner of features you not might be aware of.
Here are few Facebook usage tricks that I believe will definitely help you enjoy a new and better Facebook experience.
Go to your profile page, then About, click Details About You, then under Name pronunciation, click "How do you say your name?"
And it's done!
Those pesky read receipts RUIN lives. If you are ~not in the mood~ to reply the messages, just download the Facebook Unseen Chrome extension or install Chat detected for Firefox and Internet Explorer. So simple, no?
Now, never miss a birthday AGAIN. Go to your Events page in the left portion. Now look on the bottom right for two links: Upcoming Events or Birthdays. Copy one of those links.
Open Google Calendar, and click on the down-arrow next to Other Calendars>Add by URL, paste the URL and Whoaa! You are done.
Did you know you have two Facebook inboxes? There's an Other inbox for messages from your fans, aka random people who aren't your friends.
To view love e-letters from your admirers, click on the Messages icon and then select Other.
Facebook search is now splendid at searching for posts that have been shared with you.
If you're looking for something specific a friend has posted, type their name and a keyword, and Voila! The post will appear in the results.
Just copy and paste the link of GIF in your status bar. Then, once the preview of GIF appears, delete the link. O.O That's pretty cool!
Before complaining about your boss, don't forget to hide the post from him. In the "Who should see this?" menu next to the Post button, select Custom and add the undesired friend to the "Don't share this with" list.
Now, that's for saving our precious data plan! Open the Facebook app> Settings> Videos and Photos> Auto-Play and slide to disable Smart Auto-Play, then select Use Wi-Fi only. Tick Tack Done!
Going from in a relationship to Single? Prevent ringing the bells by going to the About> Family and relationships> change your privacy setting to Only Me. Switch your status to Single and changes will not appear in the News Feed.
We just don't have enough time to read those tons of articles at a single time. Tap or click on the Share button and then Save Link. And, all your bookmark articles will appear on the Saved tab in the left column on the desktop.
Ever noticed the little "$" icon in Facebook Messenger chats? You can use it to send Facebook friends up to $10,000 per month. Remember, you can only pay via debit card, which you can enter in Facebook settings> Payment.
If you want to make sure your account isn't going to fall into the wrong hands when the predetermined comes along, you can bequeath your account to someone trustworthy. All you need to do is nominate your "Legacy Contact," you'll easily find it in "Security" option.
