FIFA has released the nominees for "The Best Men's Coach Award."
The award will be in honor of the best coach in the past year with his team's performance, titles and country/club prestige taken into considerations.
And the most exciting news is that despite having lost the EFL Cup and Europe League finals with the Liverpool last season, Jurgen Klopp, the Liverpool boss is also running to be named FIFA's coach of the year 2016.
Why is the world praising his nomination? Here's the reason.
Klopp was appointed as a manager of Liverpool early last season in place of Brendan Rodgers, who made a mediocre start to the campaign.
Klopp led the Reds to the finals of both the League Cup and the Europa League during his opening seven months in charge.
Now that demands some appreciation.
Klopp has injected a high intensity and high on attack game into the blood of Liverpool which was missing earlier.
The way in which they want/are supposed to play and also the personnel they want to take forward with them has gotten clearer.
FIFA took to Twitter on Wednesday to make the announcement.
Voting will be done by national team captains and coaches, an online fan poll, and selected media. Each section will be weighed 25 per cent of the final tallies and the decision will be made. Fair enough!
Up till then, we can just sit and cheer our favorite candidates. What are your views regarding Jurgen Klopp? What you think, who is the most strong contender in the race? Do tell me, in your comments.
