Quite a shocker, isn't it?
Google is one of the biggest companies in the world right now and is well respected by many, mainly because of its tendency to boost the use of technology in various aspects of life. So, it's no surprise that for many job aspirants, a position at Google is seen as a dream. Many feel like working at a place like Google will help them realize their dream of playing a part in making the world a better place, and also, give them something substantial to brag about!
But is that really the case? Is the reality of working at Google in line with what people imagine it to be? Let's find out!
And a job like that cannot provide the expected level of satisfaction.
And so, in order to get into the good projects, you need to prove yourself to be different than the others.
And so, if you do something that cannot be measured, it is as good as worthless.
Google makes you reach the limit of your productivity. And the culture is such that you won't get any time off, even on weekends.
People there are very territorial, so unless you have a friend there, it's hard to be honest with anyone.
Not only that, the people who were working on canceled projects are denied promotions because they were unable to make an impact.
And that is a huge minus point.
One huge allegation is that the company makes several vague promises during hiring, but does not seem to deliver them.
That's because their way of working is very different than most of the other firms.
If you're in some non-technical field, such as sales, you will definitely feel sidelined when it comes to making a difference.
