It is no new that people are bullied in schools or colleges for one or the other defects but the champion is the one who can subdue all the odds and come out as an inspiration to all.
I can surely claim Sarah Atwell, a teenage girl as a real hero. She is the one who had always been bullied for her disfigurement but she never lost hope and chose a life-changing path that finally brought a smile on her face.
Read on to know what Sarah chose!
When Sarah was just a baby, her parents started noticing a change in her face. And so, they visited the doctor to get it checked.
She was just 8 months old when doctors found Sarah to be suffering from a rare condition called neurofibromatosis. This condition caused a big tumor that consumed her half of the face.
She underwent numerous surgeries but still there wasn't any difference in her face.
Sarah's tumor passed through her nose to the ear on the right and made the skin hung down off of her jawbone.
Sarah couldn't handle it anymore and so she made a video that gave the message straight to the point.
She held a series of cards in the video reading different messages. She even mentioned that how people didn't understand about her tumor issues.
Her video garnered positive reactions from people. Among various messages, Dr. Steven Morris was the one who addressed that he would operate her.
Sarah was very happy to have straight lips like others. The life-changing surgery made Sarah stronger than ever.
