Garden of innocence buries unidentified, abandoned children.
Abandonment is a wound that never heals. When you make a decision to have a child, you are also making a decision to take responsibility for that child. Each year we hear of many people abandoning these little ones. Only those who have lived with it can understand the darkness and emptiness. Also, sometimes these children die with no one to identify or claim them. Nothing can get more heartbreaking than this.
One day, a woman named Elissa Davey was watching news when she heard a story about a dead child left found in a trash can. She immediately called the Coroner.
Many children end up in graves with no funeral cavalcade. This is extremely saddening!
No body present in the campus wanted to bury the abandoned 7 children.
Davey saw this story on a news channel and immediately called the Coroner. The Coroner replied that "show me you have a dignified place to put him."
The Garden of Innocence provides graves, funerals and headstones to children who are unnamed and not identified by anyone.
She even gathered strangers to honor the little ones.
She believes that each child deserves a proper funeral. She said "It was bittersweet, knowing we are going to lay to rest a child who was found in a jar" ."A lot of people ask us how we can bury babies. 'It's so hard.' Our answer is, 'how can we not?'" God bless this lady who is giving these innocent babies a final resting place.
