'No' always means 'No'.
Sexual Harassment is the thing on which a lot of people can preach or express their opinions but as to what comes under the broad term, people are usually unaware of that. According to Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC), it includes unwelcome sexual advances, requests for sexual favors, and other verbal or physical harassment of a sexual nature in the workplace or learning environment.
If you are a girl and you don't want a particular person to touch you or treat you in an inappropriate manner, you have a complete right to say 'No'. It's your body and you choose who can touch it and hence the concept of 'consent'. A live example of the same is the recent incident that happened on the French TV show , the TPMP.
The world is under shock by news of another violation in France.
The act was done by Kim Kardashian lookalike Soraya Riffy and one of the panelists, Jean-Michel Maire.
She was asked to thank the savior (Jean-Michel Maire) after the enactment, by giving him a kiss.
The show presenter Cyril Hanouna kept on urging her to comply but she repeatedly said no.
After some moments of jokes, they were even suggested that the kiss can happen backstage.
Riffy turned away her face not wanting to be kissed, without any warning, Maire turned down and kissed down her breast.
This incident immediately caught attention on social media and outraging people as they criticized it on the internet.
CSA, the French TV, and Radio regulatory authority received over 250 complaints.
One of the complaints is from France's minister for women's right and an inquiry has been ordered from the same.
"Even in an entertainment program, when a woman says no it means no," she wrote denouncing the act.
While the world is still furious about the incident, she won't be pressing any charges against him.
We would love to hear your opinions on the incident in the comments section.
