I remember when I was a child, Crackers would excite me the most during Diwali days. It was then I realized when I found my younger sister wearing a green dress on Diwali for supporting the 'go-green' theme, which I could also support this.
So guys, let's make this Diwali more special. Here, I am sharing a few of the fantastic ideas that you can adopt to make this Diwali safer for yourself as well as for the environment. I ensure that you can have the same fun of colors, sparkling and the bursting noise.

Get a little crafty this Diwali with not only your Rangoli but also with your crackers. Try to make Rocket Confetti Poppers from sugar and cloth. You can even hide a surprise message for someone in this.
You just need: Printed card stock, glittered card stock, crepe paper or tissue paper, scissors, twine, double-sided tape, glue, confetti, lollipop... and goodies to fill in.

Who says that water balloons are just restricted to the festival of Holi. You can simply use it at the time of Diwali also by filling them with water and colors and just splash them.
Fill up some inflated balloons with LED lights and release them into the night sky. You will find disco lights making the sky all colorful.
You just need: Film reel cans, corn starch, some water, a black permanent marker, Alka-seltzer and a stirring stick.
Draw the faces of ghosts on film canisters. Add a 1/2 tbsp of corn starch to each of the film cans. Fill 1/3 of the cans with water, adding food color to them. Take a piece of the Alka Seltzer tablet and break it. Put the pieces into the can and close the lid. Place the can upside down and voila... there you go!
You just need: 10 eggs with compact egg shells, paper confetti, glue, tissue paper and egg dying kit.
Dye the eggs with color after you fill the eggs shells with confetti.
Close the opening of the eggs with the help of a tissue paper and glue.
They are ready! You can break the eggs with the tissue paper closed opening down on people's heads.
