In a recent ad campaign, MS Dhoni, Ajinkya Rahane and Virat Kohli were spotted wearing Devki, Sujata and Saroj on the back of their jerseys rather than their usual names. When asked about it, the Indian captain, MS Dhoni told us that Devki is his mother's name.
These brave Indian sportsmen have decided to pay some tribute to their ever hard working mothers by changing the names on their jerseys.
They ditched their usual jerseys and put on some different name on their backs.
A reporter noticed the change in name and asked Dhoni about it. He was seen answering to the reporters very humbly. MS Dhoni told the reporters, "For so many years I've been wearing my father's name, then you never asked, 'for what particular reason'?"
They're not called Indian heroes for no reason.
His mother was his ultimate supporter when he was young. She would take him to cricket practices holding his bag in one arm and his younger brother in the other.
Kohli said that whatever he is today is because of his mother, so why should his identity only be linked to his father.
