She is certified fitness trainer and teacher from ACE (American Council on Exercise), Reebok University. She lives in Mumbai and takes regular classes in Bandra.
Deepika met with a near death rock climbing accident where she fell from a height of 40ft, almost breaking her bones. Back then, doctors claimed that she might never walk again.
Inspired by the 'The Autobiography of a Yogi by Paramahansa Yogananda', she found a way to get back on her feet.

Deepika has her own yoga series named 'Yoga City' which got launched in 2012.
