13. O.J. Simpson car chase

Even before the trials were held, the public already witnessed O.J. Simpson driving away from authorities as news helicopters followed him. He was accused of murdering his own wife, but he was acquitted in the end.

12. Massacre at the 1972 Munich Olympics

This was one of the most terrible things you could ever witness on TV. The terrorist group known as Black September held several members of the Israeli Olympic team as hostages. In the end, 11 athletes were killed and a rescue attempt failed because of the live coverage.
