That iPhone 6 Plus was connected to the original charger. At around 3 AM; She was awakened by a loud noise & the smell of burnt plastic.
"I heard a sizzling, then we heard the pop and the whole fire was coming out of the screen. What if this would have been underneath my pillow or if I was on the phone? My face would be burned."
Earlier this week, an iPhone 6 Plus burned in the back pocket of a college student Darina Hlavaty. The cause of the fire in both incidents is not yet known, although it might be a case of defective batteries or a short circuit.
"Hopefully they can fix this, and they can compensate my new phone or do something for me because they have to do right," -said Estrada.
As Estrada has talked with Apple, she said that the company offered her a new stand for her watch, a charger, and free replacement for the iPhone 6 plus. Also, if she wants to upgrade to an iPhone seven, she would have to pay for it.
