She had once delivered a stillborn son. She attended the Royal Melbourne Show and found something that caught her eyes at once.
She found a photo crumpled on the ground of the event and when she saw it, she knew that it was the photo of someone's stillborn baby. When she glanced at it, she was certain that the photo was really important, but she had no idea as to whom it belonged.
As Monica returned back from the show, she emailed her phone number to the staff at the Royal Melbourne Show. She then thought that it would be more helpful if she shared the picture on social media and so, she turned to Facebook and captioned it as, 'There are no identifying notes on the back and I didn't witness who it fell from, but as an angel mom to a stillborn son myself, I instantly knew by seeing it, what it was, and if this were mine(quite possibly the only photograph she had), I would be absolutely devastated!'
..in only a few hours, the post was shared for about 7000 times by the people across the country.
Monica was amused to see that even the people who had never lost a baby and had no relation with the incident, realized the importance of the photo. In less than 24 hours, since she posted the photo on Facebook, a woman saw the image and contacted Monica. The woman asked Monica to keep her identity a secret and Monica agreed.
Monica updated her Facebook page with the happy news that the woman who contacted her, was the mother of the stillborn girl in the photo and the photo was the only keepsake that she had of her baby.
After the incident, countless mothers of stillborn babies have spoken out and expressed their gratitude to Monica and praised her for her exceptional efforts. We indeed appreciate Monica's this initiation and thank her for reuniting the photo with its rightful owner.
