IN Celebrities ON
Jab We Met is not just a movie, girls have grown up watching it and imitating every part of it, we are living it. I still have my crazy Dubsmashes saved on my phone. From the daily activities to the dresses I wear, Geet has been a major inspiration. Not to forget, there is a Geet in every girl I know and have met. Well, it is awesome to be like Geet from Jab We Met.
That crazy blabbering mouth, quirky style, the only to-go-to person for every problem and willing to always stay on toes for every darn adventure. This is Geet. I bet, I am Geet too.
Apart from all this, there is one person we always thank for making Geet possible- Imtiaz Ali. But don't you think we missed out an important name here. The name that made the image of Geet what it is today.
And with Geet's role in Jab We Met, Bollywood witnessed Kareena Kapoor in a light like never before. While her role was tremendous and the movie was loved like never before, her look became an even bigger fashion statement, and before you knew it, every girl on the street was seen wearing Patiala pants with a graphic t-shirt on!
Even if Imtiaz Ali wrote the character and portrayed by Bebo, Kareena swears by the fact that it was Manish Malhotra who brought that bubbly character to life with those printed clothes.
"When we did Jab We Met, you have to give Manish this credit, and Imtiaz has to know this, and he does know it, that the entire outfit was Manish's idea!"
So, if it weren't for Manish, we wouldn't have had the pleasure of adoring Geet so dearly today!
