Needless to say, whenever the Hubble Telescope finds something, it turns out to be huge. In NASA's recent announcement it was revealed that Jupiter's Moon, Europa might have the presence of a subsurface ocean on it.
So according to the press conference that was held on 26th September 2016, this is what NASA has revealed.
Recently, it was revealed that Jupiter's moon, Europa might be hiding the possibility of a subsurface ocean inside it.
Despite being ice globally, scientists at NASA just revealed that there could be ocean underneath the ice surface.
Having a radius nearly equal to the size of Earth's moon, Europa is all ice but there could be the presence of saline water beneath the icy surface.
On the Hubble Telescope, dissociative elements of water such as oxygen and hydrogen were also reported. Water is a compound formed by the basic elements, oxygen, and hydrogen.
Along with studying through the telescope, Europa's density was also found out to be close to one gram per cubic centimeter. Water is the only element found that has this density.
The magnetometer indicated the presence of liquid on Europa.
Scientists at NASA are looking through evidence found on Europa in the past and the revelations found on the Hubble Telescope and they strongly believe that water could be present beneath the ice layer.
The evidence found out is strictly pure. If that is actually true, there could be a possibility of living creatures on Europa and it could turn out to be something huge.
