She is no longer a burn victim, but a burn survivor!
Andrea Grant and her brother were trapped in a house fire when she was 8 years old. Due to her injuries, doctors had declared that she'd never be able to deliver a baby but luckily, she proved them wrong. Recently, she hired one of the photographers, Terrence Armand to capture the pictures of her pregnancy which she had posted on Instagram. She is a great source of inspiration for all the burn victims.
Let's have a look at some of her pictures of pregnancy!
When Grant was 8 years old, she and her brother were caught in a housefire. Most of her body parts had burnt along with her abdomen.
She said, "We left Shriners [hospital] with every limb on our body and a joyful and thankful spirit."
...because of the horrific injuries she had suffered.
And now, Grant is 37 weeks pregnant and still counting...
"Once you build up your confidence, nobody else can take it down."
...the scorched skin will not accommodate the growing fetus, but she constantly proved the doctors wrong. She rejuvenates her skin by applying moisturizer twice a day to make her skin soft. She has been surely an inspiration for many.
"I have stretch marks almost everywhere … and your videos and photos have inspired me to love myself for the things I couldn't control," "So I'm scrolling through Instagram with my son looking over my shoulder and we get to this pic and he says OMG mom, is that your friend? She's so pretty like a queen," and "Congrats on your bundle of joy. Beauty queen."
"I learned to love myself unconditionally, because I am a queen."
'Look in the mirror, find that one thing you love about yourself and build confidence around it.'"
To promote self-love, she has actual mirrors printed with this phrase at the back of it.
