Burger King Vs McDonalds.

Burger King Vs McDonalds.

Burger King and McDonalds are the biggest antagonists. Burger King has the whopper sandwich and McDonald's counters with the Big Mac and Quarter Pounder. They are the two best-selling burgers of all times.

The 2015 allegations!

The 2015 allegations!

In 2015, there were serious questions about what actually goes into these burgers. Does their 100% beef mean it really comes from cows?

The worst nightmare!

The worst nightmare!

Despite two weeks of denial, the Burger King finally came clean and admitted that Whoppers contained horse meat.

The root of the problem.

The root of the problem.

The unhygienic burgers were produced by the Irish-based processing firm, Silvercrest that is the part of ABP food groups. The firm also produced fetid burgers for the Co-op, Tesco, and Asda, among others.

The announcement!

The announcement!

They said that "Four samples recently taken from the Silvercrest plant have shown the presence of very small trace levels of equine DNA. Within the last 36 hours, we have established that Silvercrest used a small percentage of beef imported from a non-approved supplier in Poland. They promised to deliver 100per cent British & Irish beef patties and have not done so. This is a clear violation of our specifications, and we have terminated our relationship with them."

The trust issues.

The trust issues.

Though the Burger King did their best to keep the situation under the wraps to prevent their public relations, but now, it would be very difficult for the regular customers to trust them.

The contamination scandal.

The contamination scandal.

There are other questionable food products which may be even terrifying than the horse meat. The synthetic products include e-cigarette fillers that they use in their nuggets, foamed plastic used for their buns, croutons and french toast and maltodextrin.

The Vice President's apology.

The Vice President's apology.

Diego Beamonte, the vice president of Burger King said that, "We are deeply troubled by the findings of our investigation and apologise to our guests, who trust us to source only the highest quality 100per cent beef burgers. Our supplier has failed us and in turn we have failed you. We are committed to ensuring that this does not happen again."
