Dear WittyFeed... Happy Birthday!!!

You know why people work apart from earning money? For job experience or to just follow their goals? But certainly, there is a lot more to learn from a job than just earning.

Our parents are not only the one teaching us throughout our life but also work ethics that teach us in the form of office culture.

In my previous edition, I was keen on focusing that we are a family here, and especially 'family that eats together stays together', but that's not all we do and learn over here. Marking the 2nd birth anniversary on September 21, 2016, I would like to thank WittyFeed in helping me to grow with these '21' deontological ethics.

So, are you ready to explore the values with me?

So, are you ready to explore the values with me?

1. Be open to criticism and be honest

1. Be open to criticism and be honest

This thing is something that each one of us has learned at some place or the other. But have you seen your CEO giving comfort to you in ups and downs? Well, it works like--listen and learn and don't let your ego come in between.

2. Be a good friend to find a good friend.

2. Be a good friend to find a good friend.

The environment here is so positive that even the dullest of the person will find a reason to live here and the negative of the persons will not have a place to survive here. I might sound very heavy here, but yes, this place will certainly convert you into a lover and the pessimism inside you will deviate into good thoughts to become a part of this beautiful place. Be a good alter ego to others, and they will open your heart to you.

3. Be quick to help

3. Be quick to help

Your work is not more important than others'. Obviously, in every work you will be focused to complete your work first so as to receive the appreciation, but here, if somebody asks you for assistance, you will be more than happy to help her/him, because acknowledgment here is not bigger than gratitude.

4. Celebrate holidays with family

4. Celebrate holidays with family

When I asked my HR, what about the festive holidays, she said - there are no holidays because we believe in celebrating them together-- 'we' the extended family.

5. Invite others

5. Invite others

We all know happiness increases by sharing. Since we do not only perform for ourselves, we also work for others, we always sought to involve people from outside world to our gaiety.

6. Compete but remain fair

6. Compete but remain fair

Haha! What's competition? I have never seen it, for people here do not thrive for personal recognition but team appraisal. You play if you want to, but not smart enough rather healthy enough. Competition from us is towards the outer world and not for each other.

7. Laugh often and then laugh some more!

7. Laugh often and then laugh some more!

Laughing is the best exercise. Okay.... but we need somebody or something to laugh, right? And yes, we have things and people here who could help us to laugh even if we were on the verge of crying. Laugh and make others laugh. Laugh now and then.

8. Forgiveness

8. Forgiveness

Only a few can develop the ability to forgive others for hurting you. Forgiveness is letting go of all the negativity and the bad emotions, and unburdening yourself. It is very important because you certainly can not work in an environment where you are not able to relate yourself and eventually you will start disliking the place which you loved once.

9. Adding value to the world

9. Adding value to the world

The truest of your life can be by giving meaning to others' lives. If you are born you should contribute to the world in some way or the other. It is not only your family, friends and colleagues who require a helping hand from you, but also there is an outside world that might be in need of your assistance. And you should always keep in mind the part that you play in the society.

10. Recreational Values

10. Recreational Values

Recreational Values refer to anything that involves fun and play. It is important because it fosters closeness in the family, opportunities for learning, creating memories, improving social skills, and developing empathy. Don't you think that it is necessary? Well, yes having unstructured play time, allowing and encouraging each family member to pursue interests and spending time together outside playing are all very essential for one's well-being.

11. Who is the actual family?

11. Who is the actual family?

A family is not always blood, it's the people in your life who cherish you, who care for your well-being and who want 'you' in their life, in other words, a family is the one who 'accepts' you. The one which cares for you like your parents, fights with you like your siblings and the one which treasures you. The best part of having a kindred here is that if you have once become a member of this family, then they do not let you go easily.

12. Flexibility, adjustment and tolerance

12. Flexibility, adjustment and tolerance

The parents who have their children in teens age, are the most miserable one since they find it difficult to understand the irritation and impatience of them. But jobs are the one which firmly trains you to be stoical. There are a variety of people and there are conflicts, but here, at WittyFeed, we learn to show even our exasperation in a gentle way.

13. Love is the best spoken and shown

13. Love is the best spoken and shown

Are you reluctant to show people that you love them? I was too! But you know it works on the funda of 'give respect to take respect'. You will surely be loved in return when you will cherish them. Let your love multiply and not just soaked within you.

14. Communication

14. Communication

I was always of the opinion that if someone wants to talk to me, they will approach, but 'I' am never going to approach people. But that does not work certainly. Developing the ability to talk and communicate with others, the problems that you face so that you can aim at a better relationship is an important value to learn.

We have to compulsorily greet everyone here with a 'good morning' once we enter this place. We have a perfect lunch break here because this is the time which brings us together with the employees from across the organisation. We can interact with every person in this ring.

15. Sensitivity and empathy

15. Sensitivity and empathy

Understanding others, being sensitive to their needs, or being emphatic to their sorrows is something that makes a good human being and is something which is taught by our family and friends, but the environment here will eventually indulge you into an emotional personal, being sensitive enough towards others, without even teaching you.

16. Practise generosity

16. Practise generosity

Our founders have shared many instances with us where they have been approached by ordinary people seeking for financial help. Isn't it beautiful? I mean what more do you want in life if a person thinks of you as her/his patron. But it is more beautiful to know that they even help them with the needs they crave for.

17. Forgiveness!

17. Forgiveness!

Only a few can develop the ability to forgive others for hurting you. Forgiveness is letting go of all the negativity and the bad emotions, and unburdening yourself. It is very important because you certainly can not work in an environment where you are not able to relate yourself and eventually you will start disliking the place which you loved once.

18. Serve others

18. Serve others

One of the crucial things I learned from my seniors is the biggest of life you can live is by treating everyone equally, regardless of ethnicity, race, religion. Show compassion to those in need.

19. Unity!

19. Unity!

You know I have always heard of the term 'politics' in every organization. I have seen my friends being troubled of this and becoming prey to this. But what I have learned here, in my company, that how can politics prevail here because we don't come here to work, this is something like 'from one home to second home'. How can diplomacy survive here because there are no competitions!

20. Rise early

20. Rise early

If your office begins at 9 am and you reach at 8:55 am, then you are at WittyFeed. Earlier we had to report on 10 am but you know it's good to wake up early because, you have a longer day and enough time to complete your job as well as your personal tasks.

21. Finally WITTYness!

21. Finally WITTYness!

As the name defines, there is WITTYness in everything we do. This is because the art of having a good judgment, being skillful and amusing at the same time is very important in every work that you do. The combination of the three is not only important for a content writer but also for the graphics, social media and the tech team. Moreover, the business development has to be wiselike of all so as to flourish the business.
