Just like a business person, Acharya Balkrishna targeted the psyche of Indian audience by using the fan following of Baba Ramdev and making him the brand ambassador; he promoted Patanjali Products worldwide.
Baba Ramdev advertised the products for him saying, we should stop consuming foreign goods and should be dependent on swadeshi (indigenous) products.
The net sales of Patanjali for the year 2015 - 16 recorded Rs. 5,000 Crore. Actors like Jitendra came in front to support Patanjali FMCG products.
Patanjali Ayurveda Pvt. Ltd. donated Rs. 11,00,000 to Bhartiya Janta Party in 2009 elections. It is revealed in RTI response given by election commission.
Acharya Balkrishna was charged with some severe cases of forgery, cheating, and misguiding the police. Balkrishna's all degrees were found fake as there is no record of them in the university and high school which were mentioned by him.
He was also charged with criminal conspiracy for creating all the fake documents to get the Indian Passport. He went into hiding but was later arrested by Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) in 2012. He also owned a Pistol without a License.
Patanjali owns the maximum number of market shares and is ahead of many established companies like Dabur, Zandu, and Baidyanath.
Patanjali even invested into joint ventures and started exporting their products to countries like USA, Canada, Middle East etc.
Balkrishna even claimed that he keeps his lifestyle low and works 15 hours a day and that too without taking any leaves.
