Now that's called entrepreneurship at an early age!
8-year-old Jalen Bailey is an entrepreneur at heart, and if his bakery doesn't prove it, nothing will. He started a baking business with the sole wish to buy his mom, who is single, a house. When he started off, he had a very little initial investment in hand. But he managed to pull it off anyway. He has been operating from his apartment, and unlike other 8-year-olds, he's running his business with utmost seriousness. What were you up to when you were 8 years old, huh? Check it out!
8-year-old Jalen Bailey has opened a baking business of his own.
The purpose of his business is to buy his single mother, Sharhonda Mahan, a house.
"I wanted to save up a lot of money to get a house," he says. "I just want one that me and my mom can be happy in."
He runs his bakery out of his apartment in Fresno, California.
He makes chocolate chip cookies, banana bread and peanut butter cookies, and much more.
Mahan has had her own side businesses since she was 18 years old.
And she has taught him a lot about entrepreneurship already!
And which mother wouldn't be?
