Skiing is a hell lot of fun we all know this but that fun comes along with a lot of risks as well. It annually causes deaths and accidents in large numbers but enthusiasts are still willing to take that risk.
The article features one such enthusiast named Kathryn Taylor-Barnes who was skiing while on a vacation in Switzerland with her fiance Michael but then this mishap took place. Doctors worked really hard to get her back to normal again. Read out the whole story!
Kathryn says, "Then, out of nowhere, I felt a sudden impact. There was a heavy knock on the left side of my helmet which felt like the blow of a hammer. As I stood there, I felt the cracks going up through my face, like a sheet of ice when it shatters. Seconds later, I blacked out."
Kathryn added, "I motioned for the nurse to fetch me a mirror. Seeing my face was like an out of body experience. I looked like I'd been run over by a bus."
However, she mentions she doesn't feel the same now.
