But, by the intellectuals out there, Kiku's role was much praised as Fayde Maa (that's what the character was called on the show)!
Not only do Bollywood celebrities come here to promote their movies, but numerous sportspeople have been on the show just to lighten themselves up. The list is endless including Sunil Gavaskar, Pakistani cricketer, Wasim Akram, Sania Mirza, and so on...
When Mr. Navjot Sing Siddhu decided to leave BJP and joining hands with AAP for his political career, Kapil didn't let him get away with it. He decided to wrap that up in his utterly typical humor, and asked several times on the show, "Siddhu sahab inke, unke, ya AAP ke?"

If you search out for the start of the show on Colors, you'll see TV actors on the show. Only gradually did the stars from Bollywood realize that the show was one of its kind, and started flooding it. And, well, what do you know, the megastar of the era, Mr. Amitabh Bachchan was there, too!

People from all parts of the world travel down to Mumbai, only for attending 'The Kapil Sharma Show'.
How cool is that?
