Google began in January 1996, as a research project by Larry Page and Sergey Brin. But the company was incorporated on September 4, 1998. Google is getting better and better. But do you know that Google is the subsidiary of Alphabet Inc.?
This Doodle was created on the occasion of the Buring Man festival. The day was August 30, 1998, approx two years after the built and just before the official introduction. They decided to make it more relatable to people. So, they placed the spare stick figure behind Google's second 'o.' They published the new image to their site on the World Wide Web.

The company is estimated to be worth between $17 billion and $19 billion in 2003. It became $24B in 2004, including 4.28 billion web pages and 880 million images on the Google's servers.

Google surpassed Yahoo for the first time in the number of unique monthly visitors. Google had 141.1 million unique visitors. Yahoo still leads with the amount of time users spent on its sites with approx 45% higher time. Also, Google indexed one trillion unique URLs in 2008.

Google leads maximum major technology companies by acquiring 23 companies in 2010. Also Google's Open source Android Operating system became popular among the smartphone users.
Google is now worth about $498 billion compared to Apple's market cap of around $495 billion according to SmartAsset. These are some amazing milestones of Google.
