Being a popular celebrity has some really awesome perks; fans dying to have some glimpse of you, tons of fans mail, gifts, and the power to steal the show with your very appearance. But every luxury comes at a cost and nobody better than a celeb knows that. They have to compromise with their privacy.
But at the end of the day, they all are humans like us with fantasies, of course. Some of the celebrities are fond of making their sex tapes and enjoy their sex sessions later. But, not all the time this ended well for them and resulted in the leaking of the videotapes.
Pamela Anderson and her husband Tommy Lee decided to record their sex act on their honeymoon. Only after a few days, that sex tape was stolen from their home in 1995. They sued the distributing company and came to a settlement.
Back in 2003, the former Hollywood bad boy Colin Farrell recorded his sex session with Playboy model Nicole Narain. She sold the 14-minute video and was later sued by the Irish actor.
The reality TV star's sex tape with pornographic actor James Deen was stolen from Farrah Abraham's house, as per the claim she made. When the video was released, Abraham came clear that she was drugged and raped in it, but the distributor released another behind-the-scene video of the taping of the first porn video.
Paris Hilton had to deal with a sex video release in 2004 which she had made with her then-boyfriend, Rick Salomon back in 2001. Salomon sued Hilton for defamation, but the socialite was awarded $400,000 after she announced that a part of it would be given to charity.
The comedian had to deal with one of her sex tapes in 2010, the one she had made back in the 90's. She came clear of the video as a part of a joke she submitted as an audition tape.
Lowe was one of the very first celebs to be involved in a sex tape scandal, and that too with a 16-year-old. In 1988, the actor recorded his sex session with the teen one night before the Democratic National Convention in Atlanta, Georgia. This sex tape wrecked his career, and it took him years to be taken seriously.
The leaked video made in 2003 of Kim Kardashian and her ex-boyfriend Ray J released in 2007 made Kim a star and whatever she is right now.
Former Grey's Anatomy actor, Eric Dane was caught in a controversial sex tape with his wife, Rebecca Gayheart in 2009. A woman apart from the couple was involved in the video too. Dane sued the distributors for $1 million.
Jennifer Lopez's first husband, Ojani Noa has been fighting with the actress, singer and dancer to let him release their homemade honeymoon sex tape. Noa, who was married to Lopez from February 2007 to January 2008 hasn't been allowed to do so till date.
In 2012, the WWE star had sexual relations with Heather Clem who was married to radio personality, Bubba the Love Sponge. The couple made a sex tape of Hogan and Clem doing it, and Bubba can later be heard saying in the video, "If we ever need to retire, here is our ticket," referring to the video. Hogan sued the distributor company for $100 million and was awarded $115 million for this past spring.
