This is for all the foodies out there who are avid readers or I must say into music buffs or even people who are into a lot of art. Your wait has finally come to an end. I mean you might not have been dreaming for this but yes, you would have always craved for a place where you can have something to chill out other than your friends, and well, food is an answer to everything.
Even if you are alone, you will have a book to accompany you, if you are not interested in books, you will have a live, random singer to be your companion and if not that too, you will have live 'shayaris' to connect to you and above all, these desires are now available at a food place in Indore.
Let us know something about the two creative people who thought to combine art with commerce and sought of creating this great gift to the food capital of central India, Indore.
The cafe has been opened in a partnership of Aman Akshar (Lucknow) and Prateek Sahu (Indore) who have named it as "Akshar's Poetic Lounge- Mohalla Muhabbat Ka". Aman is a Hindi poet by profession and his original name is Aman Dalal, and he publishes his editions by the name of 'Akshar.'
Something new in the name itself right? Let's just dive into the Mohalla Muhabbat ka.
They have covered the table with a basic tablecloth on which there is a paper sheet, that has shayaris written on it. Basically, this concept was the one I loved the most because this will help you consume your time while waiting for your order.
Generally, people consider a menu card to have a wide range with low prices, but these people not only have inexpensive rates but also a shayari for every type of meal. I assume that you would have to say the shayari to call on to the waiter for a particular type of food. That's fun right!
Look! You have a separate corner for reading in solitude. Adding to your happiness, this is like the other libraries where you can even rent books, with the facility of your own library cards. Apart from that, books are available for purchase too.
This mike and this seat are not for professionals but for the ordinary guests. You can bring your own guitar or violin and just perform if you want. You can recite your poem or any of your shayaris as well.
The timings for the reading part is only available till 6:30pm after which the normal restaurant starts. They will also call the books which will be demanded by the customers.
This is also a section to sit and do stuff you like, which has the paintings of some inspirational personalities having the poetic background.
To welcome the customers they serve the first tea of no cost.
They provide you the bill in an open envelope which can be saved and reused by you.
On September 4, they are coming with an event named Geet Sandhya by Aman Akshar for which the passes are available at just 75 bucks which include tea and refreshments.
