Perhaps one of the best feelings in this world is to gain a second chance to live from a tragedy. After putting life at stake for the betterment of the humankind, recognition, and proper credit are well deserved, especially by those who had been injured in doing so. They must not be forgotten just like that.

He is a 41-year-old retired firefighter from Mississippi. Looking at his records as a public servant, he's seen with authority, commitment, and fast-response.
Somewhere in the Northwest Mississippi, a fire came up. Then 27-year-old firefighter volunteer, Patrick was one of those who responded. Fast forward, he unfortunately got severely burnt from a mobile home where he saved a life locked inside the unit.
Man, it's painful inside out. Everything fell short for Patrick. He was greatly affected.
To think that he was badly hit by this tragedy, his life as a volunteer firefighter was also a big thing for him and his family. Firefighting was his source of income and to tell it honestly, he did not earn that big from it.
Year after year, he came to the medical authorities to have some fix--series of surgeries. Side story, he became an addict because of the painkillers he had to ingest while under the process. While having this lifestyle, Patrick got bankrupt. Marriage with his wife gave up as well.
Some institution offered him for an extensive face surgery. Mind you, it is a face transplant. Actually, this skin was obtained from the face of a 26-year old cyclist David Rodebaugh who died due to an accident.
There was only 50% chance of survival but Patrick did not let this opportunity pass. He did it.
Patrick was able to get recovered and became an average person again, according to him. After a year of living with a transplanted face, he was able to share the world his life story and became an inspiration for people.
Go out with his family, or just with his sons. Partick is not scared of prejudice or any form of discrimination anymore.
