At least 30 people are dead and 94 people are injured in an explosion attack on a wedding in Southern Turkey. The explosion targetted a wedding celebration in Gaziantep on Saturday at local time.

Turkey's pro-Kurdish Peoples' Democratic Party (HDP), the third largest party in parliament, said in a statement:

"We condemn and curse the ones who launched this attack, and the forces and ideology behind their actions."

The explosion is believed to be caused by a suicide bomber.

Anadolu Agency quoted Gaziantep Governor Ali Yerlikaya as saying Saturday's barbaric act was a "terror attack".

In May, two policemen were killed by a suicide bomber who were believed to have links to IS.

Gaziantep is a city of 1.5 million people in south-central Turkey, is near the border with Syria.
