North Korean gymnast won the Olympic gold at the 2016 Olympics but didn't seem happy and looked as the saddest winner of all times. He insisted that he was filled with joy for bringing a sense of victory to their leader. He is only the third gymnast ever from his country to win the Olympic gold medal.

The North Korean has picked up one more title in the Rio Olympics which is the "saddest medal winner." He was surrounded by smiling faces as he was standing on the podium with other winners.
It can be clearly seen from the picture that Ri Se-Gwang is not happy. On his left is Russia's Denis Albyazin and on his right is Japan's Kenzo Shirai. Both seem very happy on winning the silver and bronze but Ri Se-Gwang does not seem so.
Viewers pointed it first and then it went viral on the social media. He looked miserable all the time despite being only the third gymnast ever to take gold for his country.
Conditions in North Korea are not good for people and they have to follow some very strict rules given by their leader. Even social media is not allowed in their country.
Electronic giant Samsung offered free Galaxy S7 phones to all the players at the Olympics. The North Korean players were not allowed to take the phones and neither were they allowed to visit the tourist destinations.They were also not allowed to mix up with other athletes.
